St. Pierre lies at the foot of Mt. Pelée, the still-active volcano that laid the town to waste on the 8th of May, in 1902.
Many of the surviving stone walls have been incorporated into the town's reconstruction.
We liked the anchorage more than expected and stayed for 4 nights.
